Frequently Asked Questions
Logistics
Q: Do you ship furniture nationwide?
Yes! We ship antique furniture anywhere in the continental U.S. using trusted LTL freight or white-glove services when needed.
Q: How much is shipping?
Shipping costs vary based on item size and destination. You’ll see a shipping quote at checkout, but if you think you can arrange shipping for less please let me know and I will remove the shipping charge.
Q: How long does delivery take?
Most orders ship within 7–10 business days. Furniture deliveries typically arrive within 2–4 weeks, depending on your location.
Q: Can I pickup the order from you?
Yes, by appointment and without cost!
Q: I am far from Virginia, and shipping looks to be a lot of money--are there any other options?
Yes, I also list all of my pieces on www.chairish.com. Chairish is a curated site for selling furniture that offers discounted shipping rates. While my selling price may be higher there (to make up for the 20% commission they charge me), it may still be a better deal with the lower shipping cost.

Authenticity
Q: I am concerned about buying antiques without seeing them in-person. Can you allay these concerns?
It is always better to see a piece in-person--and I am happy if you are local to set up a time for you to take a look. But if you are not local I will do my best to answer any questions and take as many photos or videos you would like to give you confidence in the piece in question. I also accept returns on anything I sell.

Q: You claim these pieces are very old and are authentic. How do I know this is the case?
The simple answer here is to do your own research, which the internet makes easier than ever. You can also ask a third-party for assistance in this regard, as most folks in the antiques trade are happy to help. Lastly, please ask me any questions you have related to dating pieces, etc.
